Basketball Recap: Central Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Demarcus White and Sema J Copeland

It was a Battle of the Birds when Central faced off against Marion County on Friday. The Central Hawks fell just short of the Marion County Eagles by a score of 74-72. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (63), the Hawks still had to take the loss.

Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sema J Copeland, who posted 26 points, and Demarcus White, who put up 23 points. Brandon Bussey was another key player, putting up eight points.

Central moved to 10-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Marion County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Central has already played their next game, a 71-59 defeat against Macon County on the 18th. As for Marion County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 64-55 loss against Chattahoochee County on the 18th.
