Mission Veterans Memorial won the last time they faced Mission and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Mission Eagles 2-1. The Patriots wouldn't have won without Nadia Padilla, who scored the game-winner.

Mission Veterans Memorial has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Mission is on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mission Veterans Memorial will square off against Nixon at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Mission will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Palmview at 8:00 p.m. on March 7th.
