The Hampshire Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Lewis County Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hampshire is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

Hampshire blew Culleoka out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Culleoka got their revenge. The Hawks fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hawks have suffered since March 22, 2024.

Kameron Nicholson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Cameron Marrisett, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Lewis County didn't have quite enough to beat Summertown on Tuesday and fell 8-7.

Braylon Bean was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Dakota Hull also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Hampshire's record is now 17-7. As for Lewis County, their record now sits at 13-13.

Hampshire suffered a grim 13-2 defeat to Lewis County when the teams last played back in March of 2021. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
