Basketball Recap: Pinnacle Comes Up Short

Pinnacle and Valley Vista squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Pinnacle had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 68-45 to the Valley Vista Monsoon, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Pioneers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Pinnacle's defeat dropped their record down to 24-7. As for Valley Vista, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-7.

Pinnacle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley Vista, they will square off against Millennium at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Valley Vista knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully Millennium likes a good challenge.
