Soccer Game Preview: Diamond Bar vs. Claremont

The Diamond Bar Brahmas will square off against the Claremont Wolfpack at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Diamond Bar's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Diamond Bar is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Walnut on Thursday. Diamond Bar fell just short of Walnut by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Brahmas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 522nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 134th).

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in December of 2024, Claremont was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. They and Ayala finished up their game with a 1-1 draw.

Claremont's draw makes their record 5-7-2 this season. As for Diamond Bar, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-2.

Diamond Bar beat Claremont by a goal in their previous matchup back in January, winning 2-1. Will Diamond Bar repeat their success, or does Claremont have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
