Baseball Recap: Neshaminy Makes It Four in a Row at Home

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Neshaminy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Avon Grove Red Devils as they made off with a 10-1 win. The Skins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Chase Bonner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Neshaminy let Brandon Lall and Anthony Kurley run wild. Lall went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Kurley went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double. Those two runs gave Kurley a new career-high. Jake Plebani also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Neshaminy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive games.

Neshaminy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Avon Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.

As of now, neither Neshaminy nor the Red Devils have any future games scheduled.
