Baseball Recap: Willows Comes Up Short

Willows lost against Hamilton back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Willows Honkers came up short against the Hamilton Braves, falling 9-2.

Willows saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charles Squier, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Squier has posted since back in March of 2024. Cruz Medina also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Willows dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hamilton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Willows will be playing at home against Orland at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamilton, they will be taking part in a tournament against Plumas Charter at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday.
