Baseball Recap: Dumas Takes a Loss

Dumas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the DeWitt Dragons, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 back in March.

Dumas' loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for DeWitt, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dumas will square off against Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DeWitt, they will face off against Monticello at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Billies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
