Soccer Game Preview: Delphi Community vs. Tipton

Delphi Community hasn't had much luck against Tipton recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Oracles will head out on the road to face off against the Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. Delphi Community has given up an average of 6.6 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Delphi Community is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against North Montgomery on Thursday. They lost 9-1 to the Chargin' Chargers. Delphi Community were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 7-1.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Tipton made sure to put some goals up on the board against Mississinewa on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Indians. Tipton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Mississinewa with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Walker Smith (2), Quinn Smith (2), Oliver Stewart (2), and Tyler Sorensen.

Tipton is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 56 goals over those 12 matches. As for Delphi Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Delphi Community suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Tipton in their previous matchup back in August. Can the Oracles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
