Basketball Recap: Olivia Gerrard's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fideles Christian over St. John Bosco Academy

After flying high against Excel Christian Academy last Thursday, Fideles Christian came back down to earth. The Fideles Christian Rangers took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. John Bosco Academy on Tuesday. The Rangers haven't had much luck with St. John Bosco Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Several Rangers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia Gerrard, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 boards. Gerrard's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Chloe Quinn was another key player, putting up 19 points.

Fideles Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for St. John Bosco Academy, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Fideles Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 43-42 win against Cherokee Christian on the 31st. St. John Bosco Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
