Bath County waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the East Carter Raiders. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bath County's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for East Carter, they moved to 25-5 with that loss, which also ended their 13-game winning streak.

Bath County and East Carter should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. The Wildcats will square off against Bourbon County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (47 vs. 146). Meanwhile, East Carter (ranked 33rd) will meet Portsmouth (ranked 417th) at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
