Baseball Recap: Wells Takes a Loss

Wells was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-4 to the Centerville Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 18-0 loss last Tuesday.

Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Centerville, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wells will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Neches at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Centerville, they will venture away from home to square off against Broaddus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
