Football Game Preview: Regents Lions vs. Oak Hill Academy Raiders

The Regents Lions will venture away from home to challenge the Oak Hill Academy Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Regents will be strutting in after a win while Oak Hill Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Regents will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up six points last Friday, then bounced right back against Manchester Academy on Thursday. The Lions enjoyed a cozy 48-30 victory over the Mavericks.

A big part of Regents' win came down to the chemistry between Zane Hill and his top target Hayes Leach. Hill threw for 344 yards and six touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes while Leach picked up 211 receiving yards and three scores. Leach showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 65 yards.

Regents didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cade Yerty.

Meanwhile, Oak Hill Academy played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Leake Academy and fell 41-14. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-6.

Regents has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.8 points over those games. As for Oak Hill Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
