Football Recap: Rye Neck Comes Up Short

Rye Neck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 40-6 defeat at the hands of the Haldane Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 41-16 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.

Rye Neck's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Haldane, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rye Neck is set to take on their familiar foe Pelham Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Haldane will square off against rival Edgemont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
