The Vestaburg Wolverines will be taking part in a tournament against the Webberville Spartans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Vestaburg has nine straight victories, Webberville has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Vestaburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Montabella on Thursday as they made off with a 20-5 win. Considering the Wolverines have won seven matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Sasha Page made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Page was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Megan Beetley and Addison Neelis did most of the damage at the plate: Beetley went 3-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and one double, while Neelis went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Vestaburg's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Webberville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
