Baseball Recap: Eastern Alamance Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Eastern Alamance lost to Morehead back in May of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Eagles came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 7-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Eastern Alamance let Jarrett Newell and Braxton Ballard run wild. Newell scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Ballard went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Tyler Westbrooks, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Eastern Alamance was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Morehead only posted a batting average of .174.

Eastern Alamance pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Morehead, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern Alamance will square off against Corinth Holders at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Morehead, they will take on Dixon in a tournament on Wednesday.
