With a playoff win on the line, Proviso East rose to the challenge on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Prosser Falcons. Proviso East wouldn't have won without Axel Rios, who scored the game-winner.

The win snapped Proviso East's losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 6-13-1 record. As for Prosser, they dropped their record down to 7-10-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Proviso East will take on Taft at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Proviso East's defense better be ready for this one: Taft have averaged an impressive 3.5 goals per game this season. Prosser does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
