You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Chaparral's strategy against Waco on Friday. The Chaparral Bobcats were the clear victor by a 60-37 margin over the Waco Lions. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Waco saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aaziyah Degrate posted 20 points along with four steals and three blocks. Degrate has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Shamiah Taylor was another key player, putting up 12 points.

The win made it two in a row for Chaparral and bumps their season record up to 21-10. As for Waco, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.

Chaparral didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-28 victory against Belton on the 28th. Waco has also already played their next matchup, a 57-53 win against Lake Belton on the 28th.
