Volleyball Recap: DePue Little Giants vs. Galva Wildcats
DePue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 30th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Galva Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Little Giants of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-15.
Galva can attribute much of their success to Kailynn Townsend, who had seven digs and two aces.
DePue's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Galva, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-25.
DePue is on the road again on Friday to play Hinckley-Big Rock at 5:30 p.m. Galva has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Leland on the 19th.
