Softball Recap: Wilson Hall Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hammond last Tuesday, Wilson Hall came back down to earth. The Wilson Hall Barons took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carolina Forest Panthers on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Barons of the 4-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Wilson Hall now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Carolina Forest, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Wilson Hall will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Laurence Manning Academy at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Carolina Forest, they will take on Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on March 14th. Carolina Forest's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Heritage's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
