Soccer Recap: Saint James Falls Short Against Ranked Georgetown Day

Saint James is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Georgetown Day. The Saints came up short against the Mighty Hoppers, falling 5-1. Saint James were not able to make up for their loss to Georgetown Day from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Saint James' goal came courtesy of Kyle Kansiime, who's now up to four this season.

Saint James has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Georgetown Day, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-0-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saint James will head out to challenge Mercersburg Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Georgetown Day, they will venture away from home to face off against Potomac School at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
