League recap: Evergreen rises, Swanton falls in league standings

Northwest Ohio league recap: 5/21/12

Evergreen made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from seventh to fourth place in the league thanks to an 8-3 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile, Swanton fell hardest in the standings, dropping from third all the way to fifth place after going 0-1 in the past week. Bryan (4-1, 2-0) is the No. 1 team in the league.

The league's top pitcher this week was Patrick Henry's Kevin Kline. He picked up zero wins and four strikeouts.

The Patriots' pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 18 hits and six walks, both of which led the league. On the season, Patrick Henry has allowed just 166 hits, while striking out 163 batters. Kline leads Patrick Henry with 65 strikeouts in 56 innings pitched.
