Football Game Preview: Natomas Nighthawks vs. Casa Roble Rams + Official Tickets

The Natomas Nighthawks will head out to challenge the Casa Roble Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Natomas has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with nine straight losses, while Casa Roble will come in with four straight wins.

On Friday, Natomas was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 26-21 to Woodland. That's two games in a row now that the Nighthawks have lost by exactly five points.

Despite the defeat, Natomas got top-tier performance from Adrian Sanders-Muniz, who rushed for 18 yards and one touchdown, and also caught one score.

Meanwhile, Casa Roble strolled past Rio Linda with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 32-13. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Knights are ranked 622nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Casa Roble's win came from a few key players Natomas will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaylan Barcenas, who rushed for 185 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 38 receiving yards and one score. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 109.4 rushing yards per game. Aidan Lopez was another key player, throwing for 305 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 78.3% of his passes.

Casa Roble's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Natomas, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Natomas took a serious blow against Casa Roble in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 38-0. Can the Nighthawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
