Softball Recap: Oakdale Falls Short of Manteca in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Oakdale can now relate to. They lost 8-1 to the Manteca Buffaloes on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Oakdale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Romiti, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

The loss snapped Oakdale's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 15-11 record. As for Manteca, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-8.

Oakdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Manteca, they will challenge Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buffaloes will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
