Volleyball Recap: Central Kitsap Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Central Kitsap challenged Emerald Ridge on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 2-1. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Jaguars from their previous meeting back in October of 2019.

Emerald Ridge found their leader in freshman Eva Orozco, who had 13 digs and one assist.

The defeat snapped Central Kitsap's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 9-3 record. As for Emerald Ridge, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Coming up, Central Kitsap will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cedar Park Christian at 7:15 p.m. Emerald Ridge has already played their next match (against Timberline), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
