Port of Los Angeles owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Locke Saints with a sharp 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Polar Bears, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Damian Ochoa, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Malik Giron, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Port of Los Angeles' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Locke, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port of Los Angeles will head out to face off against Dorsey at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Polar Bears are facing the Dons at the right time seeing as the Dons are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Locke, they will venture away from home to challenge Harbor Teacher at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Monarchs have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
