Baseball Recap: Baylor Find Success

Baylor won the last time they faced Christian Academy of Knoxville and things went their way on Monday too. The Red Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Raiders.

Baylor got a great performance from Wells Grisham as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. Grisham has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Blake Lundy was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Knox Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Baylor's win bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Christian Academy of Knoxville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-9-1.

Baylor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Academy of Knoxville, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m.
