After flying high against Asheville on Thursday, Apex Friendship came back down to earth. The Patriots fell just short of the A.C. Reynolds Rockets by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The Patriots' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Connor Payne made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Braden Bloom was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
