Softball Recap: Tate Aggies vs. Navarre Raiders

Tate was the 10-5 winner over Navarre when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tate Aggies took a 16-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Navarre Raiders on Thursday. Even if the Aggies couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Tate got a massive performance out of Peyton Womack, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Womack has posted since back in April of 2024. Kaylie Mitchell also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Womack wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Tate lost a few balls and finished the game with five home runs. They launched three more home runs than Navarre's also-impressive total of two.

Tate is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. As for Navarre, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

When Tate and Navarre next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Tate will take on Milton and their three-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on March 28th. Meanwhile, Navarre will try to stop Niceville's three-game winning streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
