Baseball Recap: South Jones Snags 13th Victory in Last 14 Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South Jones had no problem doing just that on Monday. They put the hurt on the Vancleave Bulldogs with a sharp 12-4 victory. Considering the Braves have won 20 matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Cayden Kinmon was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dylan Causey, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

South Jones always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vancleave only posted an OBP of .241.

South Jones has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Vancleave, their loss dropped their record down to 26-7.

South Jones will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
