Baseball Recap: Taft School Comes Up Short

Taft School managed to slip by Avon Old Farms the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Big Red came up short against the Beavers on Saturday, falling 11-1. The Big Red have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parker Woods made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Taft School's record is now 3-3. As for Avon Old Farms, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Taft School will venture away from home to take on Kent School at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Avon Old Farms, they will head out to face off against Loomis Chaffee School at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pelicans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Beavers surely won't give up without a fight.
