Soccer Recap: North DeSoto Comes Up Short

After flying high against Natchitoches Central last Thursday, North DeSoto came back down to earth. The North DeSoto Griffins fell 3-1 to the Loyola College Prep Flyers on Monday. The Griffins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Flyers from their previous meeting back in January of 2022.

North DeSoto's goal came courtesy of Chloe Phillips, who's now up to eight this season.

North DeSoto's loss dropped their record down to 13-7-4. As for Loyola College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4-3 record this season.

North DeSoto has already played their next contest (against Alexandria), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Loyola College Prep will be playing at home against Evangel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Loyola College Prep has three straight victories, Evangel Christian Academy has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.
