Basketball Recap: Lake Brantley Patriots vs. Freedom Patriots
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Lake Brantley Patriots had no problem doing just that on Monday. They managed a 40-34 win over the Patriots. The win was a breath of fresh air for Lake Brantley as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Lake Brantley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Briana Hall, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Heaven Sims, who scored 12 points.
Lake Brantley's victory bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Freedom, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.
Lake Brantley will take on the Knights at TBD on Wednesday. Ocoee's defense has only allowed 29.3 points per game this season, so the Patriots' offense will have their work cut out for them. Freedom does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
