There's no place like home for South Barber, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 42-31 victory over the Cunningham Wildcats on Friday. The Chieftains' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Cunningham lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ellie Mcguire, who posted 12 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Morgan, who earned three points.

South Barber moved to 1-4 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Cunningham, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

South Barber will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Stafford on February 7th. As for Cunningham, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-12 win against Kinsley on the 18th.
