Baseball Recap: Southern Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

It's playoff time, and Southern Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Clarke Prep Gators on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

BoBraeden Agee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Martin, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Rogers, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Southern Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Clarke Prep, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Southern Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Gators: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
