Baseball Recap: Berchmans Academy Comes Up Short

Berchmans Academy lost to Franklin back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Saints came up short against the Hornets, falling 20-4.

Collin Schexnayder led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Eli Simmons was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Berchmans Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-11. As for Franklin, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13.

Coming up, Berchmans Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against North Iberville at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Franklin, they will square off against Thibodaux at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
