Softball Recap: Ripon Comes Up Short

Ripon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Winneconne Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in April.

Ripon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Baker, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Ripon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Winneconne, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ripon will square off against rival Waupun at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Winneconne is set to take on their familiar foe Berlin at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
