Basketball Game Preview: Loretto Mustangs vs. Grundy County Yellowjackets

The Loretto Mustangs will take on the Grundy County Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Loretto will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Loretto saw some tournament action on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Community 65-32. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Grundy County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They breezed past Lewis County to the tune of 76-48 on Saturday.

Grundy County is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points over those games. Loretto pushed their record up to 29-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
