Softball Recap: Boston Latin Has No Trouble Against Waltham

Boston Latin won the last time they faced Waltham and things went their way on Friday too. The Wolfpack walked away with a 6-2 win over the Hawks. That looming 6-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wolfpack yet this season.

Christina George spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Aliah Rosa was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Cortney Lenz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Boston Latin has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-14 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Waltham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

As of now, neither Boston Latin nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
