Basketball Recap: Cross Roads Takes a Loss

Cross Roads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the LaPoynor Flyers and fell 89-37. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1516th, while the Flyers are ranked 516th).

Cross Roads' loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for LaPoynor, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Cross Roads Bobcats face off against the Alba-Golden Panthers at 9:35 p.m. on Friday. LaPoynor has already played their next contest (against Frankston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
