Volleyball Game Preview: Briggs Bruins vs. Reynoldsburg Raiders

The Briggs Bruins will venture away from home to challenge the Reynoldsburg Raiders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Reynoldsburg took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Briggs, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Briggs made easy work of Walnut Ridge and carried off a 3-0 victory. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bruins yet this season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Victor Som, who had ten digs. Loyal Whiteside also deserves some recognition as he had his first dig of the season.

Meanwhile, Reynoldsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to Lincoln.

While Reynoldsburg had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 14-25, 25-18, 25-21.

Briggs' win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Reynoldsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
