Basketball Recap: Camas County's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Camas County can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They strolled past the Castleford Wolves with points to spare, taking the game 56-41. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-39 back in December of 2024.

Camas County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Quinn Palan, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 15 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The match was Palan's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Clancy Rablin, who posted 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

Camas County was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Camas County's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Castleford, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Camas County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Twin Falls Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Camas County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Castleford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carey at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
