Soccer Recap: Albia Extends Winning Streak to Five

Albia entered their tilt with Central Lee on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 6-2 win. Albia might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by four goals or more this season.

Albia's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five games. As for Central Lee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albia will face off against Centerville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Lee, they will head out to square off against Mediapolis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mediapolis will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Central Lee surely won't give up without a fight.
