North Stanly is 9-1 against Union Academy since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The North Stanly Comets will look to defend their home court against the Union Academy Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. North Stanly knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Union Academy likes a good challenge.

On Friday, North Stanly got the win against Albemarle by a conclusive 80-59. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 631st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Union Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost 65-43 to Mount Pleasant on Friday. The contest marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Union Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for North Stanly, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.

North Stanly was able to grind out a solid win over Union Academy in their previous meeting on January 7th, winning 66-55. Does North Stanly have another victory up their sleeve, or will Union Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
