Waverly entered their tilt with Hastings on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Give Waverly's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Jade Martin and Cora Stevens scored both of Waverly's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Waverly's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Hastings, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Waverly is set to take on their familiar foe Norris at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hastings will square off against rival York at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Hastings' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
