Baseball Recap: Rose Bud Gets the Win

Rose Bud proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 win over the Bigelow Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Ramblers have posted since March 15, 2025.

Rose Bud let Kade Wortham and Athan Hensley run wild. Wortham went 2-for-3 with three runs, while Hensley got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three runs gave Wortham a new career-high. Jay Bell was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Rose Bud's record is now 7-5-1. As for Bigelow, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-4 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rose Bud will face off against Bald Knob at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bigelow, they will head out to challenge Baptist Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
