Baseball Recap: Fairmont Firebirds vs. Beavercreek Beavers
Fairmont lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Beavercreek, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Firebirds never let the Beavers get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Firebirds: when they faced off against the Beavers on Wednesday, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.
Not much got past Brayden Vance, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Beavercreek off the board.

On the hitting side, Tyler Mastro was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Fairmont is undefeated when Mastro posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Schyler Zent, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.
Fairmont's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Beavercreek, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 12-2.

Meanwhile, Beavercreek will face off against rival Springboro at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Beavers 2.8, the Panthers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
