Softball Recap: Mount View Comes Up Short

Mount View made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Maine Central Institute, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Mustangs fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 9-7 on Saturday. The Mustangs have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Mount View's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Maine Central Institute, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Mount View will head out on the road to face off against Belfast at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Maine Central Institute, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Waterville at 3:00 p.m. The Huskies are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
