Volleyball Recap: Webster Schroeder Wins High-Profile Match Against Penfield

Webster Schroeder faced Penfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Warriors walked away with a 3-1 win over the Patriots. The victory was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on four straight.

Webster Schroeder got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 21-25, 30-28.

Webster Schroeder had a senior duo take command as Maddie Siphakongviseth had 30 digs and two aces and Chloe Lannotti had 17 digs and two aces. Those 17 digs set a new season-high mark for Lannotti.

Webster Schroeder's record is now 21-2-1. As for Penfield, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 11-5 record.

Webster Schroeder didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Galway on the 10th. As for Penfield, they will head out to take on Pittsford at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
