Baseball Game Preview: Blue Ridge Tigers vs. Pottsboro Cardinals

For the second straight game, Blue Ridge will face off against Pottsboro. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Blue Ridge has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight defeats, while Pottsboro will come in with three straight wins.

It was a proper cat-fight when Blue Ridge challenged Pottsboro on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 5-1 to the Cardinals.

For Pottsboro's part, Matthew McCullough spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. McCullough has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Cayden Humphreys was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Slade Gonzales was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Pottsboro's victory bumped their record up to 13-4-1. As for Blue Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
